Yesterday was December 22, the twenty-ninth day of the lunar calendar: the winter solstice. Northerners are popular to eat dumplings, implying “alteration of old and new, new age”, while southerners prefer glutinous rice balls, expressing “reunion” and “every year”. But no matter where we are, we will welcome the coming of the winter solstice with a sumptuous feast and food that symbolizes reunion.   In order to allow employees to eat steaming dumplings on the day of the winter solstice, the company will make preparations early before the winter solstice, purchase ingredients, pack them in advance, and keep them refrigerated, so that everyone can spend a happy and warm time on the day of the winter solstice festival!   Winter solstice eat dumplings     At 12:00 noon, the employees came to the cafeteria one after another, carrying steaming dumplings one by one, smiling on their faces, warming their hearts, and their joy was beyond words. Plates of hot dumplings dispelled the severe winter cold and warmed the hearts of every employee. Everyone said that this year’s dumplings are “really delicious”!
