Reappear burn marks on workpiece surface
The workpiece surface is often burned in the process of grinding. There are several types of burns. Two is a line or discontinuous line shape.
► The workpiece surface is burned in the process of grinding for the following reasons:
1. The grinding wheel is too hard or the grain size is too fine and the structure is too dense;
2. Excessive feed, insufficient cutting fluid supply and poor heat dissipation conditions;
3. The workpiece speed is too low, and the grinding wheel speed is too high;
4. Excessive vibration of grinding wheel causes burns due to constant changes in grinding depth;
5. The grinding wheel dressing is not timely or badly dressed;
6. The diamond is sharp and the grinding wheel is not well dressed;
7. The workpiece is burned too deeply during rough grinding, and the retention of fine grinding is too small to be ground off;
8. The workpiece clamping force or suction is insufficient, and the workpiece stops under the action of grinding force.
So how to know whether the workpiece surface burns in the grinding process? This can be detected by regular pickling.
After pickling, the workpiece should be visually inspected under astigmatism lamp immediately when the surface is wet, and the normal surface is uniform dark gray. If the software point, it presents a cloud like dark spots, and the perimeter is uncertain; If decarbonized, it will appear gray or dark mottled; If the crack is grinded, the crack will be cracked. If it is burned, the surface will show dark patches along the grinding wheel’s processing direction, and the surface will show lines or intermittent lines.
If the above burns occur in the grinding process, it is necessary to analyze the causes in time and take effective measures to solve them, so as to prevent batch burns.
