1. What are the conditions for selecting bearings?

There are many kinds of bearings, rich types, there are several mm of ultra-small, and more than 10m of large products.

To choose bearings suitable for different machinery from these many varieties, the following two conditions are very important.

• Condition 1: must be suitable for the use of mechanical environment and bearing requirements

• Condition 2: it is relatively easy to buy replacement bearings, which is convenient for mechanical maintenance and inspection. If the above conditions are met, mechanical faults can be reduced, the replacement time of bearings during maintenance can be shortened, and the running time of machinery can be prolonged. Therefore, the selection of appropriate bearings helps to achieve economic and excellent mechanical design.

2. Selection method of bearing types

In mechanical design, most of the first is to determine the size of the shaft to meet the necessary strength, and then select bearings on this basis.

1) When mainly bearing radial load (perpendicular to the axis), choose radial bearing, mainly bearing axial load (in the same direction as the axis) ※ When, choose axial bearing. Axial load is also called thrust load.

2) If the bearing bears a small load, select ball bearing; When the load is large, choose roller bearings.

3) when a bearing bears both radial and axial loads (synthetic load), if the synthetic load is small, deep groove ball bearings or angular contact ball bearings are selected; If the load is large, choose tapered roller bearings.

When bearing a large bilateral axial load, more than two bearings or multiple rows of bearings should be used in combination.

2) The size series code is a combination of width series and diameter series, and the diameter series is the stepped outer diameter size relative to the inner diameter size.
