The maintenance method of the rod end joint bearing exceeding the limit load capacity and causing heat
Author: hongyuanTime:
Most rod ends are damaged for many reasons, such as exceeding the original estimated load, ineffective sealing, too small bearing clearance caused by too tight joint, and so on. Any of these factors has its own unique form of damage and can leave a unique trail of damage. Therefore, inspection of a damaged bearing can in most cases reveal its probable cause.
Roughly speaking, one-third of rod end joint bearing damage is due to fatigue damage, another third is due to poor lubrication, and the other third is due to contamination entering the bearing or installation treatment inappropriate. However, these damage patterns are also production-related. For example, in the pulp and paper industry most rod ends are damaged due to poor lubrication or contamination rather than material fatigue.
1. The precision of rolling bearing is low. Solution: Select the rod end joint bearing with the specified accuracy level.
2. The main shaft is bent or the box hole is not concentric. Solution: Repair the main shaft or box.
3. The belt is too tight. Solution: Adjust the belt to make it tighter.
4. Poor lubrication. Solution: Select the lubricating grease of the specified grade and clean it properly.
5. The assembly quality is low. Solution: Improve assembly quality.
6. The inner shell of the rolling rod end joint bearing runs circles. Solution: Replace the rolling rod end joint bearing and related wear parts, correct the diameter of the impeller balance hole and check the static balance value
7. The axial force is too large. Solution: Clean and adjust the gap between the sealing rings to 0.203mm.
8. The rolling bearing is damaged. Solution: Replace the rolling bearing.
The ultimate axial load carrying capacity of the bearing:
1. If the bearing is under pure axial load, the axial load should generally not exceed the value of 0,5 C0.
2. Small bearings (inner diameter within about 12 mm) and light series bearings (diameter series 8, 9, 0 and 1) should not bear axial loads greater than 0,25 C0.
3. Excessive axial load will greatly shorten the service life of the bearing.
4. If the bearing bears a certain radial load, can it still bear the ultimate axial load? Usually if the bearing can bear radial load, it can also bear certain axial load.
