The friction of rolling bearings is mainly composed of rolling friction and sliding friction between the rolling elements and the raceway of the ring; sliding friction between the cage and the rolling elements and the guiding surface of the ring (sliding friction between the rolling elements when there is no cage) ; the sliding friction between the end face of the roller and the side face of the ring; the viscous resistance of the lubricant; the sliding friction of the sealing device, etc., its size depends on the type, size, load, speed, lubrication, sealing, etc. factors. In instruments and machinery that require low frictional torque, deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings and self-aligning ball bearings are usually used to bear radial loads; single row thrust ball bearings are used to bear axial loads. Angular contact ball bearings are used to obtain the minimum frictional moment when the load angle is basically the same as the contact angle; if the difference between the two angles is too large, it can be solved by assembling radial and thrust bearings. When selecting bearings with low frictional moment, contact sealing devices should be avoided in structural design. At the same time, for the bearing lubrication method with low friction torque, oil drop lubrication, oil mist lubrication and oil air lubrication should be used.
