Radial thrust ball bearing is a precision parts, so in the use of the requirements of a fairly cautious attitude, that is, the use of high-performance bearings, if not used properly, but also can not achieve the expected performance results, and easy to make the bearing damage. Therefore, the use of bearings should pay attention to the following matters.
However, under some special operating conditions, radial thrust ball bearings can obtain a longer life than traditionally calculated, especially in the case of light loads. These special operating conditions are when the rolling surfaces (track and rolling elements) are effectively separated by a lubricant film and the possible surface damage caused by contaminants is limited. In fact, under ideal conditions, so-called permanent bearing life is possible.
Grease lubrication is available in the form of a sealed bearing that is pre-filled with grease, and in the form of a filled grease supply that is filled with a suitable amount of grease inside the housing and replenished or replaced at regular intervals. In addition, there are multiple centripetal thrust ball bearings need to lubricate the machinery, but also use the centralized grease supply pipeline connection to each lubrication place. Grease lubrication can be filled with grease for a long time without replenishment, and the structure of the sealing device is also simpler, so it is widely used. Oil lubrication is relatively simple.
The method of mounting and dismounting of radial thrust ball bearings should be based on the structure of the bearings, size and the nature of the fit with the bearing parts. The pressure of mounting and dismounting should be added directly on the end face of the tightly fitted gear ring, and the pressure should not be transmitted through the rolling body, because this will cause indentation on the working surface of the bearing, which will affect the normal operation of the bearing and even damage the bearing. Bearing parts such as cage, seal, dust cover, etc. are easily deformed, and the pressure of mounting or dismounting the bearing should not be added on these parts.
(1) The inner ring of the bearing and the shaft are tight fit, the outer ring and the shell are looser fit, the bearing can be pressed into the bearing first, then the shaft together with the bearing into the shell, when pressed into the end face of the thrust ball bearing pad a soft metal material assembly casing (copper or soft steel pipe). The inner diameter of the assembly sleeve should be slightly larger than the diameter of the journal, the outer diameter should be smaller than the diameter of the bearing inner diameter of the retaining edge, so as not to press on the cage. A handle can be added to the sleeve when mounting the bearing in large quantities.
Thrust ball bearings should be mounted so that the centerline of the bearing hole and the shaft coincide. Bearings skewed relative to the shaft will not only be difficult to install, but will also cause indentation, journal bending and even fracture of the inner ring of the bearing. In places where presses are missing or cannot be used, bearings can be mounted with assembly sleeves and small hammers. The hammering force should be evenly transmitted to the whole circumference of the bearing collar end face, so the end face of the assembly sleeve subject to hammering should be made spherical.
(2) bearing outer ring and shell hole for the tight fit, inner ring and shaft for the looser fit, you can press the bearing into the shell first, when the outer diameter of the assembly sleeve should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the shell hole.
(3) bearing inner ring and shaft, outer ring and shell hole are tight fit, assembly casing end face should be made to simultaneously press the bearing inner and outer ring end face of the ring, or with a disc and assembly casing, so that the pressure is transmitted to the inner and outer ring at the same time, the bearing pressed into the shaft and shell. This installation method is especially suitable for the installation of self-aligning radial spherical bearings.
(4) heating installation, the force required to install the centripetal thrust ball bearing with bearing size and with the size of the interference, for the interference amount of large, large bearings commonly used in the hot installation method. The bearing or separable bearing collar is put into the oil tank or special heater and heated evenly to 80~100℃ (should not exceed 100℃). The hot mounting of bearings requires skilled operation skills. When the bearing is removed from the heated oil tank or heater, it should be immediately wiped with a clean cloth (not cotton yarn) to remove the oil stains and adhesions on the bearing surface, and then placed in front of the mating surface, and the bearing should be pushed to the position against the shoulder in one operation. During the cooling process should always be pushed tightly, or use a small hammer to tap the bearing through the assembly sleeve to make it tight. The bearing should be rotated slightly during installation to prevent tilting or jamming of the installation.
The outer ring of the radial thrust ball bearing and the shell hole for the tight fit can also be heated into the shell after the bearing. Especially the light metal manufacturing bearing seat in the case of tight fit, may be due to bearing outer ring pressed into and damage to its mating surface, then the bearing seat should be heated.
