Maintenance and repair tips for large fans: Correct maintenance and upkeep are important guarantees for the safe and reliable operation of the fan and for extending the service life of the fan. Therefore, sufficient attention must be paid when using the fan. 1. Fan maintenance The impeller is the rotating part of the fan, and its function is to transport the gas through the fan to the outlet. For example, it consists of a rear disc, a straight front disc with an inlet ring and blades. The blades are composed of arc plate blades with a large curvature radius. During the initial operation of the impeller and during all periodic inspections, whenever there is an opportunity, it is necessary to check whether the impeller is reliably fixed on the shoulder and whether there are cracks, wear, dust accumulation and other defects in the impeller. Whenever possible, the impeller must be kept clean and dust and rust must be removed regularly with a wire brush. Because as the running time increases, the dust cannot evenly adhere to the impeller, causing damage to the impeller balance and causing rotor fluctuations. As long as the impeller is repaired, it needs to be rebalanced. Before dynamic balancing, it is necessary to check whether all tightening bolts are tightened. Because the impeller has been operating in an unbalanced state for some time, these bolts may have become loose. Check the axial position of the impeller according to the fan installation distribution diagram and the size of the collector inserted into the impeller inlet ring. Check the radial clearance between the collector and the impeller inlet ring. If necessary, adjust the collector or casing to obtain the correct clearance space. This ensures that the side panels of the casing air inlet box are calibrated in the correct position relative to the spindle and spindle seal. Check and ensure that the positions of the inlet and outlet ends of the casing and air intake box comply with the requirements of the drawings and connecting pipes (see the attached picture for the correct position). 2. Maintenance of the casing and air intake chamber In addition to regularly checking whether there is serious wear and tear inside the casing and air intake chamber, and removing serious dust accumulation, no other maintenance is required on these parts. Regularly check whether all fastening bolts are tight, and tighten the butterfly springs on the footings to the installation height specified in the drawing. 3. Maintenance of main shaft and coupling The spindle should be kept clean, and the shaft shoulder should be scraped off dirt every year. Special attention should be paid to the position where the spindle passes through the shaft end seal of the side plate of the air intake chamber. Due to the condensation of a small amount of leaked air, corrosion is very likely to occur in these positions. . If the fan has been running in an unbalanced state for a period of time, the straightness of the main shaft should be checked as much as possible. Couplings should be kept clean and their connection tightness checked regularly. 4. Maintenance of bearing department Frequently check the bearing lubrication and oil supply. If there is oil leakage in the box, tighten the bolts of the end cover a little. If this still does not work, replace it with a new seal. When the bearing lubricating oil is used normally, it should be replaced at least once every six months. When used for the first time, the oil should be inspected at least once every six months.
