Lubrication solutions for iron and steel metallurgy industry
1.Steel metallurgical equipment grease role
Used for steelmaking and ironmaking equipment lubrication is heat-resistant, excellent load resistance performance of polyurea, composite lithium, bentonite or composite aluminum-based grease, generally use the corresponding grease dry oil lubrication system for lubrication.
Metallurgical equipment includes mining equipment, blast furnace equipment, sintering equipment, coking equipment, steel making equipment, rolling equipment and various power machinery and equipment, transmission machinery and equipment. Metallurgical production is characterized by continuous, high temperature, high humidity, heavy load and dusty. Metallurgical equipment grease is mainly used to lubricate the bearings and rollers of continuous casting machine, sintering machine, steel rollers, continuous rolling mill, pulling and straightening machine, etc.
2. Metallurgical equipment grease performance
(1) High temperature resistance. Steel industry equipment in the environment of extremely high temperature, the operating parts for a long time in the high temperature thermal radiation conditions, radiation temperature in 700 ~ 1200 ℃, the actual temperature of the bearing shell some up to 200 ℃ or more, grease needs to have good high temperature performance;.
(2) good anti-water and anti-rust performance. In the continuous casting process, from the beginning of the sector, there is a lot of cooling water for the billet and bearing cooling, hot rolling also has a lot of high-pressure water rushing to the steel plate and bearing, also accompanied by a large amount of water vapor. Plus some bearing processing precision is not enough, the seal is not good, so that water and water vapor into the bearing, which put forward high requirements for the grease anti-water performance and anti-rust performance.
(3) Good extreme pressure anti-wear property. Coking, sintering, iron making, steel making, hot rolling mills and mines, due to its work characteristics, so that the air has a lot of coal, coke, mineral powder, flue gas, iron slag, steel slag, iron oxide and other dust, although now major metallurgical enterprises pay more and more attention to environmental protection, conditions have improved greatly, but because of its inherent characteristics, dust is still a significant feature. Many metallurgical equipment is a high-speed heavy-duty or low-speed heavy-duty equipment, and accompanied by shock load, which puts forward extremely demanding requirements for the lubrication of bearings or gears, to have excellent extreme pressure anti-wear performance.
(4) excellent shear stability. Many of the equipment in metallurgical enterprises are high-speed operation, such as hot rolling, cold rolling equipment rolling requirements are very high, high line rolling speed of more than 90m / s, to have good shear stability performance, high temperature oil separation rate is small.
(5) Excellent pumping properties. Because metallurgical equipment is mostly high temperature work and continuous work, so its main equipment are generally equipped with centralized grease lubrication system, to achieve multi-point, remote automatic grease supply, grease should have excellent pumping; good fluidity, high temperature does not harden.
(6) Good heat resistance. The temperature of the bearings around the heating furnace or the bearings of the rolls of the continuous casting equipment is 120-180℃, and it does not dry up and flow when it is used.
(7) Good water resistance. Not easy to emulsify, not easy to wash off, small change in consistency.
(8) high temperature extreme pressure, good anti-wear, good sealing, good anti-corrosion properties.
3. Metallurgical equipment grease types
For metallurgical equipment grease, there is no official classification standard. According to the actual grease condition, it can be summarized as metallurgical general purpose grease and metallurgical special grease. General metallurgical grease refers to those greases that have no specific performance requirements and can meet the general metallurgical equipment lubrication requirements, such as lithium grease, compound lithium grease, compound aluminum grease, polyurea grease, etc. Metallurgical special grease refers to the grease designed for some specific equipment and can meet the special lubrication requirements, such as continuous casting machine grease, roll grease, etc.
