Bearing is an important part of mechanical equipment, in order to ensure the best performance of bearing, reliable work, correct installation and operation, reasonable maintenance is very important.

Choose the right lubrication system and high quality lubricant. The film separates the film surfaces that are in contact with each other due to bearing capacity and provides necessary protection against corrosion and wear. Therefore, the film is essential for the normal operation of all rotating or reciprocating parts, especially bearings and gears. For splash lubrication or circulating lubrication system, oil film can also transfer heat.

Plants often have unnecessary downtime and equipment deterioration due to improper lubrication. Insufficient oil supply can lead to increased wear and temperature rise, resulting in excessive wear and/or early bearing failure and damage. Excessive lubrication, especially for high-speed running equipment, will produce too much heat due to oil agitation, causing chemical deterioration of lubricating oil, and will also lead to bearing damage.

Correct lubrication and regular maintenance can avoid bearing damage caused by lubrication problems. To ensure reasonable lubrication:

Follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions for each device;

When grease is added, it should be filled into the bearing rolling parts and the shell (or ring) to ensure that sufficient grease into the key raceway surface is fully lubricated;

Attention should be paid to when bearings should be greased;

Monitor equipment indicator meters for early detection of signs of problems, such as temperature fluctuations and/or unusually high temperatures;

Pay attention to equipment noise or abnormal vibration;

Observe lubricating oil leakage;

Periodically sample lubricating oil and check for contamination.
