How often are bearings maintained? Bearing can theoretically use 20000-80,000 hours, but the specific life depends on wear and tear in the process of use, working strength and later maintenance, etc., which maintenance is a very important part of extending the service life of bearings.

In order to make the bearing fully play and maintain its due performance for a long time, it is necessary to do a good job of regular maintenance (regular inspection). It is very important to improve productivity and economy to detect faults early and prevent accidents from happening through proper periodic inspection.

Bearings are coated with an appropriate amount of antirust oil and packed in antirust paper when leaving the factory. As long as the packaging is not damaged, the quality of bearings will be guaranteed. However, for long-term storage, it is advisable to store it on a shelf 30cm above the ground when the humidity is lower than 65% and the temperature is about 20℃. In addition, the storage place should be kept away from direct sunlight or contact with cold and damp walls.

If it is necessary to clean, when the bearing is removed for inspection, first take photos or video to make appearance records, confirm the amount of remaining lubricant and sample the lubricant, and then clean the bearing.

A. The cleaning of bearings is divided into rough washing and fine washing, and a metal mesh frame can be placed at the bottom of the container in use.

B, rough washing, in the oil with a brush to remove grease or adhesive. At this time, if the bearing is rotated in oil, it will be noted that the rolling surface will be damaged by foreign bodies.

C. When cleaning, slowly turn the bearing in oil, and it must be carried out carefully. The cleaning agent usually used is neutral water-free diesel oil or kerosene, and sometimes warm lye is used according to the need. No matter which cleaning agent is used, always filter to keep clean. After cleaning, the bearing is coated with anti-rust oil or anti-rust grease immediately.

In order to judge whether the removed bearing can be reused, it is necessary to check its dimensional accuracy, rotation accuracy, internal clearance and mating surface, raceway surface, cage and seal ring.

Large bearings can not be rotated by hand, pay attention to check the appearance of the rolling body, raceway surface, cage, edge surface and so on. The higher the importance of bearings, the more carefully they must be checked.

The inspection results can be judged by experienced engineers. The criteria vary according to mechanical properties and importance and inspection period. Bearings shall not be reused and must be replaced if any of the following damage occurs:

1) Fracture and defects of bearing parts.

2) Stripping of rolling surface of raceway surface.
