How to check the tightness of rolling bearing and shaft shoulder

In general, tight fit interference mounted rolling bearings must be tight against the shoulder.
Inspection methods.
(1) light method. That is, the electric light is aimed at the bearing and shaft shoulder, look at the leakage of light judgment. If there is no light leakage, that the installation is correct; if the uniform light leakage along the shoulder around the bearing, that the bearing is not tight with the shoulder, the bearing pressure should be applied to make it tight; if there is partial light leakage, that the bearing installation tilt, available hand hammer, copper rod or sleeve knocking bearing inner ring, slowly and square.
(2) thickness gauge inspection method. The thickness of the thickness gauge should be 0.03mm to start. Inspection, in the bearing inner ring end face and shoulder of the entire circumference of the test insert a few, such as found to have a gap and very uniform, that the bearing is not installed in place, the bearing inner ring should be pressurized to make it tight shoulder; if increased pressure is not tight, the journal rounded parts of the angle is too large, the bearing stuck, should be trimmed journal rounded, so that it becomes smaller; if found in the bearing inner ring end face and bearing shoulder individual parts of the thickness gauge can pass. That does not mean this time must be disassembled, be trimmed, reinstalled.
If the bearing is installed in the bearing seat hole with interference, bearing outer ring is fixed by the shell hole shoulder, the outer ring end face and shell hole shoulder end face is tight, whether the installation is correct, also available thickness gauge test.
Thrust bearing after installation inspection
When installing the thrust bearing, the verticality of the centerline of the shaft ring and shaft should be checked. The method is to fix the micrometer on the end surface of the housing, so that the contact tip of the table in the bearing shaft ring raceway while turning the bearing, while observing the micrometer pointer, if the pointer swing, indicating that the shaft ring and shaft centerline is not vertical. Box shell hole deeper, can also be used to lengthen the micrometer head test.
Thrust bearing installed correctly, its seat ring can automatically adapt to the rolling body rolling, to ensure that the rolling body is located in the upper and lower ring raceway. If the installation is reversed, not only the bearing does not work properly, and the mating surface will be severely worn. As the shaft ring and seat ring and the difference is not very obvious, assembly should be extra careful, do not make a mistake. In addition, the thrust bearing seat ring and bearing seat hole should be left between 0.2-0.5mm clearance, used to compensate for parts processing, installation inaccuracy caused by the error, when the operation of the bearing collar center offset, this clearance can ensure its automatic adjustment, to avoid touching friction, so that its normal operation. Otherwise, it will cause violent damage to the bearing.
