Crossed roller bearing processing cooling technology
Author: hongyuanTime:
The reason why crossed roller bearings play an irreplaceable role in mechanical equipment is not only related to its structural characteristics, but also to a certain extent due to the repeated tempering in its production and processing.
1. Multi-process processing
Crossed roller bearing parts have high requirements and must have many production processes. Generally, bearing production requires 20 to 40 processes, and as many as more than 70 processes.
2. Forming processing
The working surfaces of bearing parts are all rotary forming surfaces, which are suitable for processing by forming methods. For example, the forging, rolling and grinding of the ferrule raceway are all processed using forming tools or anti-form plates.
3. Precision processing
Most of the surfaces of crossed roller bearing parts need to be ground, and the grinding size and geometric accuracy are measured in μM. In particular, the raceways and rolling elements of the rings have higher precision and require super-finishing or grinding.
1. Annealing cooling method: When steel is annealed, it is generally cooled in the furnace to below 600~550℃ and then air-cooled out of the furnace.
2. Normalizing cooling method: When normalizing steel, it is generally cooled in the air.
3. Quenching cooling method: When steel is quenched, the cooling rate of the steel in the most unstable range of supercooled austenite (650~550℃) should be greater than the critical cooling rate to ensure that the workpiece does not transform into a pearlite structure; while The cooling rate near the Ms point should be as low as possible to reduce the quenching internal stress and reduce the deformation and cracking of the workpiece. Therefore, when quenching, in addition to selecting a suitable quenching cooling medium, the quenching method should also be improved. For workpieces with simple shapes, a simple single-liquid quenching method is often used. For example, water or salt water is used as the cooling medium for carbon steel, and oil is often used as the cooling medium for alloy steel.
4. Tempering cooling method: When tempering carbon steel, it is generally cooled in the air.
The normalizing process is a heat treatment process in which steel parts are heated to 30 to 50°C above Ac3, kept warm for an appropriate time, and then cooled in still air. Normalizing when steel parts are heated to 100~150℃ above Ac3 is called high temperature normalizing. The main purpose of normalizing medium and low carbon steel castings and forgings is to refine the structure. Compared with annealing, after normalizing, the pearlite lamellae are thinner and the ferrite grains are also smaller, so the strength and hardness are higher. Because the hardness of low carbon steel is too low after annealing, tool sticking occurs during cutting and the cutting performance is poor. Increasing the hardness by normalizing can improve the cutting performance. Some medium carbon structural steel parts can be normalized instead of quenched and tempered to simplify heat treatment.
