Check items after bearing installation

1.check the installation position
After bearing installation, first check whether running parts and fixed parts collide, whether lubricating oil can flow smoothly into the bearing, and whether sealing device and axial fastening device are installed correctly.
2. Check radial clearance
Radial clearance should be checked except when bearings with pre-interference are installed. Deep groove ball bearings can be tested by hand rotation, with smooth and flexible, no vibration, no left and right swing as well. Cylindrical roller and self-aligning roller bearings can be tested with a feeler ruler, which is inserted between the roller and the bearing ring. The insertion depth of the feeler ruler should be greater than 1/2 of the length of the roller.
When the radial clearance of the bearing cannot be measured with a feeler gauge, the axial movement of the bearing can be measured instead of the reduction of the radial clearance. Under normal circumstances, if the inner ring of the bearing is tapered, the axial movement on the tapered surface is about 15 times the reduction of the radial clearance.
Radial clearance of bearings, some unqualified after installation can be adjusted, such as angular contact ball bearings, tapered roller bearings; Some are in the manufacture has been adjusted according to the standard provisions, after installation unqualified can not be adjusted, such as deep groove ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, self-aligning roller bearings, etc..
If this kind of bearing fails to pass the inspection after installation and the radial assembly clearance is too small, it indicates that the bearing is improperly selected or the assembly part is not processed correctly. At this time, the bearing must be removed, find out the cause, and then reinstall it. Of course, bearing clearance is too large.
3. Check the tightness of the bearing and the shaft shoulder
Under normal circumstances, the bearing for tight fitting interference installation must be close to the shaft shoulder. Inspection method:
(1) Lighting method. The lamp is aligned with the bearing and shaft shoulder, see the light leakage judgment. If there is no light leakage, the installation is correct; If light leakage is uniform around the shaft shoulder, the bearing is not close to the shaft shoulder, and the bearing should be pressed to make it close; If there is some light leakage, the bearing installation is inclined, and the inner ring of the bearing can be hit with a hammer, copper rod or sleeve to slowly stabilize it.
(2) thickness test method. The thickness of the gauge should start at 0.03mm. During the inspection, several places are tried on the end face of the bearing inner ring and the whole circumference of the shoulder. If there is a gap and it is very uniform, the bearing is not installed in place. The bearing inner ring should be pressurized to make it close to the shoulder. If the pressure is not tight, it means that the roundness of the shaft neck is too large and the bearing is stuck. The shaft neck roundness should be trimmed to make it smaller; If it is found that the end face of the bearing inner ring and the thickness gauge of individual parts of the bearing shoulder can pass, it must be removed, repaired and re-installed.
If the bearing is installed in the bearing seat hole with interference fit, and the bearing outer ring is fixed by the shoulder of the shell hole, whether the end face of the outer ring is close to the end face of the shoulder of the shell hole, and whether the installation is correct can also be checked by the thickness gauge.
