Causes of excessive vibration of bearings during centrifugal fan operation
Author: hongyuanTime:
A centrifugal fan is a machine that converts mechanical energy into high-pressure wind energy. It uses a high-speed rotating impeller to accelerate the gas, then decelerates, changes the flow direction, and converts mechanical energy into wind energy. We all know that a centrifugal fan is composed of a casing, a main shaft, an impeller, a bearing transmission mechanism and a motor. The centrifugal fan will more or less fail due to long-term work and wear of its bearings, so let’s analyze the reasons why the vibration of the centrifugal fan bearing exceeds the standard.
Centrifugal fan bearing vibration is a common fault in operation. The vibration of centrifugal fan will cause damage to bearings and blades, loose bolts, damage to casing and air duct, etc., seriously endangering the safe operation of centrifugal fan. There are many reasons for the vibration of centrifugal fan bearings to exceed the standard. If we can analyze the reasons for different phenomena and take appropriate measures, we can often get twice the result with half the effort
The non-working area of the non-working area of the non-stop furnace will cause the vibration of the centrifugal fan. This kind of defect is common in the centrifugal fan of the boiler. The main phenomenon is that the vibration of the centrifugal fan suddenly rises during operation. This is because when the gas enters the impeller, there is a certain angle with the working surface of the rotating blade. According to the principle of fluid mechanics, the gas must have a vortex on the non-working surface of the blade, so the ash particles in the gas will slowly flow due to the vortex effect. Deposit on non-working surfaces. Airfoil blades are the easiest to collect dust. When the dust accumulation reaches a certain weight, part of the large dust accumulation will be thrown out of the impeller due to the centrifugal force of the impeller rotation. Since the ash accumulation on each blade cannot be completely uniform, the time of accumulated or thrown away ash blocks is not necessarily synchronized. As a result, the uneven ash accumulation on the blades leads to an imbalance in the mass distribution of the impeller, which increases the vibration of the centrifugal fan.
In this case, it is usually only necessary to remove the dust accumulated on the blades, and the impeller will be balanced again, thereby reducing the vibration of the centrifugal fan. In actual work, the usual treatment method is to open the manhole door of the casing of the centrifugal fan after the furnace is temporarily shut down, and the maintenance personnel enter the casing to remove the dust accumulated on the impeller. In this way, not only the environment is harsh, there are unsafe factors, but also the unplanned outage of the unit is caused, the maintenance time is long, and the labor intensity is high.
After research, a treatment method that has been proven to be effective is proposed. Install a row of nozzles (4 to 5) at the mouthpiece of the casing, and adjust the nozzles to different angles. The nozzle is connected with the ash flushing water pump, and the ash flushing water is used as the power medium for flushing the ash accumulation. After the load is reduced, the single-side centrifugal fan is stopped, and the valve is quickly opened at the moment of stopping the centrifugal fan, and the non-working parts on the blades are sprayed by the inertia of the impeller. On the surface, open the valve installed at the bottom of the casing to drain the gray water. In this way, the purpose of dealing with the vibration of the centrifugal fan without stopping the furnace is realized. Compared with steam and compressed air, using ash flushing water as the medium for ash removal has the advantages of lower requirements on the nozzle structure, large cleaning range, good effect, and less wear on the blades.
To sum up, the vibration of centrifugal fan bearings is still quite harmful. Therefore, we should pay attention to check whether there is dust on the impeller of centrifugal fan when using it. If there is, it needs to be removed immediately to avoid excessive bearing vibration. , thus damaging the entire centrifugal fan.
