Bearings show strong regularity during their use, and the repeatability is very good. Normal high-quality bearings (linear bearings) have relatively small vibration and noise at the beginning of use, but the frequency spectrum is somewhat messy and the amplitude is small, which may be due to some defects in the manufacturing process, such as surface burrs.
After exercising for a period of time, the vibration and noise maintain a certain level, and the frequency spectrum is very single, with only one or two times frequency appearing. The frequency spectrum above three times the power frequency rarely appears, the bearing state is very stable, and it has entered a stable working period.
After continuing to operate and entering the later stage of use, the vibration and noise of the bearing begin to increase, and sometimes there are abnormal sounds, but the change of the increase in vibration is relatively slow. At this time, the kurtosis value of the bearing suddenly reaches a certain value. We think that at this time, the bearing shows an initial failure.
In order to maintain the original performance of the bearing in good condition for as long as possible, maintenance and inspection are required to prevent accidents before they happen, ensure the reliability of operation, and improve productivity and economy. It is best to perform maintenance on a regular basis according to the standards of the operating conditions of the machine. The content includes monitoring the running status, replenishing or replacing lubricant, and inspection of scheduled disassembly. The items to be inspected during operation include the rotational noise of the bearing, vibration, temperature, and the state of the lubricant.
Bearing cleaning: When disassembling the bearing for inspection, first record the appearance of the bearing, confirm the remaining amount of lubricant, and wash the bearing after sampling the lubricant for inspection. As a cleaning agent, gasoline and kerosene are generally used.
The cleaning of the disassembled bearings is divided into coarse cleaning and fine cleaning, which are placed in the container respectively, and the bottom of the metal mesh pad is placed first, so that the bearing does not directly contact the dirt in the container. During rough cleaning, if the bearing is rotated with dirt, it will damage the rolling surface of the bearing, so care should be taken. In the rough cleaning oil, use a brush to remove grease and stickies. After it is roughly clean, switch to fine cleaning. Fine cleaning is to carefully clean the bearing while rotating it in the cleaning oil. In addition, the cleaning oil should always be kept clean.
