Analysis of the causes of excessively high temperature of chemical pump bearings

The bearing clearance does not meet the requirements. For example, if the fit between the inner ring of the bearing and the chemical pump shaft, the outer ring of the bearing and the bearing body is too loose or too tight, it can cause the bearing to heat up. (If the fit is too tight, the bearing will rotate inflexibly; if the fit is too loose, the inner ring of the bearing will rotate or the entire bearing will rotate in the bearing body).
The main reasons for excessive temperature rise of chemical pump bearings are: (At this time, as long as you pay attention to observation and find out the cause in time, the treatment is not difficult)
(1) The chemical pump shaft is bent or misaligned, which will cause the chemical pump to vibrate and cause the bearings to heat up or wear.
(2) Due to the increase in axial thrust (for example, when the balance plate and balance ring in a chemical pump are seriously damaged), the axial load on the bearing increases, causing the bearing to heat up or even be damaged.
(3) The amount of lubricating oil (grease) in the bearing is insufficient or excessive, the quality is poor, and there are sand, iron filings and other debris inside; sliding bearings sometimes cause the bearings to heat up because the oil ring does not rotate and cannot carry oil.
Reasons why chemical pump bearing temperature is too high
(4) The bearing clearance does not meet the requirements. For example, if the fit between the inner ring of the bearing and the chemical pump shaft, the outer ring of the bearing and the bearing body is too loose or too tight, it can cause the bearing to heat up. (If the fit is too tight, the bearing will rotate inflexibly; if the fit is too loose, the inner ring of the bearing will rotate or the entire bearing will rotate in the bearing body).
(5) The static balance of the chemical pump rotor is not good. The radial force of the chemical pump rotor increases and the bearing load increases, causing the bearings to heat up.
(6) The chemical pump will vibrate when operating under non-design point conditions, which will also cause the chemical pump bearings to heat up.
(7) The bearing is damaged (including quality problems with the purchased bearing itself), which is often a common cause of bearing heating, such as damage to the rolling bearing cage, crushing of the inner ring by the steel ball or fracture of the outer ring; peeling of the alloy layer of the sliding bearing, Dropping blocks etc. In this case, the bearing has abnormal sound and loud noise. The bearing should be disassembled, inspected and replaced in time.
