With the development of industrialization, bearings are used more and more widely in various kinds of equipment, among which the adjustment, measurement and installation of bearing clearance are very important links in the use of bearings.
(1) Adjustment of bearing axial clearance
The inner ring of the bearing is positioned by the shoulder, and the outer ring is pretightened by the bearing gland on both sides. The axial clearance of the bearing is adjusted by the pretightening force of the bearing gland on both sides. Considering that the clearance of the bearing is reduced due to heat, the axial clearance of the bearing should have a certain amount.
In practice, the axial clearance is less affected by interference assembly, load operation and other factors, so the original clearance of bearings is generally used as the standard for adjustment during installation.
The specific adjustment method: in the case that the reducer does not cover the cover, the shaft assembly is installed in place, the gland bolts on both sides of the bearing are tightened in place, and then a certain axial pressure is applied at one end of the shaft.

(2) Adjustment of bearing radial clearance
The radial clearance of bearings plays a vital role in the stable operation of bearings. For the radial clearance of bearings, GB/T4604-2006 has relevant standards, so in specific applications, just look up the table to know the upper and lower limits of the radial clearance of bearings.
The specific adjustment method: to facilitate the measurement and adjustment should be removed before bearing on both sides of the gland, install the bearing housings, cover up and cover, using a torque wrench evenly tighten the bolt bearing four on both sides, prestressing force of bolt can be referring to the relevant provisions of national standards, tighten in place, after using a feeler is measured, measured values and standard values of look-up table.
Example: bearing number 23232CC/W33. According to GB/T4604-2006, the maximum radial clearance of the bearing is 110μm and the minimum is 75μm. Adjust the bearing clearance by comparing the results. If the adjusted value is less than the minimum value, it means that the bearing installation clearance is too small and the clearance should be increased, as shown in the bearing installation diagram (axial). Copper cover can be adjusted at the bolt holes of the upper and lower joint surfaces of the bearing box. If the adjusted value is greater than the maximum value, the bearing installation clearance is too large.
The method of adjustment is to put copper skin into the joint surface of the bearing box and bearing outer ring for adjustment, and pay attention to not to plug the oil hole of the bearing when putting copper skin. The above methods generally require several adjustments to adjust the radial clearance of bearings to the standard range. After the clearance adjustment reaches the standard, reinstall it.
